At Clustr, we aim to create a platform where creators can share valuable content while maintaining a safe, respectful environment for all users. This Content Policy outlines what content is acceptable on our platform and what may be subject to removal or other actions. By using our platform, you agree to comply with this Content Policy.

1. General Principles

All content on Clustr should adhere to these general principles:

  • Respect the rights and dignity of others
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Be authentic and accurately represented
  • Add value to the Clustr community
  • Respect intellectual property rights

2. Prohibited Content

The following types of content are prohibited on Clustr and may result in content removal, account suspension, or termination:

2.1 Illegal Content

Content that violates any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation is prohibited. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Content that promotes illegal activities or services
  • Content related to illegal drugs, controlled substances, or drug paraphernalia
  • Content that facilitates or promotes illegal gambling
  • Content that promotes counterfeit goods or services

2.2 Harmful or Dangerous Content

Content that poses a risk of harm to individuals or groups is prohibited, including:

  • Content that promotes or glorifies violence or physical harm
  • Content that provides instructions on harmful activities
  • Content that encourages dangerous challenges or activities
  • Content that promotes self-harm or suicide

2.3 Hateful and Discriminatory Content

Content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence against individuals or groups based on attributes such as:

  • Race or ethnic origin
  • Religion or religious beliefs
  • Gender or gender identity
  • Sexual orientation
  • Disability or medical condition
  • Age
  • Veteran status
  • National origin

2.4 Harassment and Cyberbullying

Content that harasses, intimidates, or bullies individuals or groups is prohibited, including:

  • Persistent personal attacks
  • Content that reveals private personal information (doxxing)
  • Content that encourages others to harass an individual or group
  • Malicious criticism or ridicule

2.5 Sexually Explicit Content

Clustr prohibits sexually explicit content, including:

  • Pornography or sexually explicit material
  • Content depicting sexual acts
  • Nudity (with limited exceptions for educational, documentary, or artistic purposes)
  • Content that sexualizes minors in any way

2.6 Violent or Graphic Content

Content that is excessively violent or graphic is prohibited, including:

  • Gratuitous violence or gore
  • Content that glorifies human suffering or death
  • Animal cruelty or animal fighting

2.7 Misinformation and Deceptive Content

Content that is demonstrably false and may cause significant harm is prohibited, including:

  • Health misinformation that contradicts established medical consensus
  • Content that denies well-documented historical events
  • Manipulated content that misleads users (deepfakes)
  • Content that impersonates individuals or organizations

3. Copyright and Intellectual Property

Clustr respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our creators to do the same.

  • Do not upload content that you do not own or have proper authorization to use
  • Properly attribute sources when using content under fair use or with permission
  • Respect trademarks, copyrights, and other forms of intellectual property
  • We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and will remove content upon receiving valid takedown notices

4. Age-Appropriate Content

Clustr requires content to be appropriately labeled for different age groups:

  • General Audience: Content suitable for viewers of all ages
  • Teen: Content suitable for viewers 13 years and older
  • Mature: Content suitable for viewers 18 years and older

Content creators are responsible for accurately rating their content. Intentional misrating may result in penalties.

5. Monetization Guidelines

To be eligible for monetization on Clustr, content must:

  • Comply with all aspects of this Content Policy
  • Be original or include properly licensed third-party content
  • Provide value to viewers
  • Meet minimum quality standards
  • Not focus primarily on controversial or sensitive issues
  • Not contain excessive profanity or inappropriate language

Clustr reserves the right to demonetize content that advertisers may find unsuitable, even if it does not violate our Content Policy.

6. Affiliate Marketing Content

Content that includes affiliate marketing must adhere to these additional guidelines:

  • Clearly disclose affiliate relationships in your content
  • Do not make false or misleading claims about products or services
  • Do not promote products or services that violate our Content Policy
  • Comply with all applicable laws regarding endorsements and testimonials

7. Content Review Process

Clustr reviews content through a combination of automated systems and human review:

  • Automated systems flag potentially problematic content for review
  • Human reviewers evaluate flagged content against our policies
  • User reports help us identify content that may violate our policies
  • Content that violates our policies may be removed, age-restricted, demonetized, or subject to other actions

8. Enforcement and Penalties

Violations of our Content Policy may result in the following actions:

  • Content Removal: The violating content will be removed from the platform
  • Warning: A formal warning issued to the content creator
  • Demonetization: Removal of monetization privileges for specific content or the entire channel
  • Temporary Suspension: Temporary restriction of account privileges
  • Channel Termination: Permanent removal of the channel and associated content

The severity of the action depends on the nature of the violation, whether it's a first-time or repeat offense, and the potential harm to the community.

9. Appeals Process

If you believe your content was incorrectly flagged or removed, you can appeal the decision:

  1. Log in to your Clustr account
  2. Go to Creator Dashboard → Content → Policy Actions
  3. Locate the affected content and select “Appeal”
  4. Provide a detailed explanation of why you believe the decision was incorrect
  5. Submit your appeal for review

Appeals are typically reviewed within 7 business days. The decision after review is final.

10. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Content Policy at any time. Significant changes will be announced on our platform and through direct communication to creators. Your continued use of our platform after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
